Is this behavior okay?
I have a pair of sibling IRN's and they've been hand raised. Recently, they've been attacking each other by the beaks. I'm not sure if they're playing or fighting. They don't peck each other's feathers or anything. They just open their beaks and bite each other's beaks. They have no problem sharing ...

Re: Thinking of getting a ringneck?
Patience is key. You will get frustrated many times, but they get better everyday. I handfed my pair of IRN's and it was like raising a newborn. They make noises every few hours to eat. I suggest you buy a baby indian ringneck. It might seem like a pain (Weaning, taming etc.), but it's the best way ...

Re: Is separate my two IRN a good idea?
I also have a pair of IRN's and they are siblings. The younger one is the trouble maker while the older one is the quiet one. I was able to teach both of them to perch on my hand at the same time. Before I fed them, I took a seed, showed it to them. They would try to get it. Put the seed far enough, ...

Re: Ringnecks and talking.
My pair of indian ringnecks (Siblings) are about 3 1/2 months old. The younger one is starting to make different noises. The older one is always quiet. I get surprised everytime it makes a different noise.

Re: My New Indian Ringneck's Behaviour
My pair of IRN's used to be scared of me, even though I handfed them. I don't know if this this the best option, but what I did was took it outside. It was scared of it's surroundings, so it clung on to me - Letting me able to interact with it. I did this for a week. I also taught them to perch on m...

Re: Ringnecks plucking each other
I have two indian ringneck siblings and they also live together. They were always close to each other, and they eventually fight with each other. What I do is distract them. I play with them. I taught them to perch on my finger using seeds, and by keeping them company, they fight less. They do bothe...

Re: Hawaii
I'm from Hawaii (Oahu) in Waipahu, and I own two indian ringnecks. I got them from a breeder. But besides that, I see indian ringnecks flying in my backyard sometimes. I get scared when I see them because I think they're my birds.

Does my Bird require a cage?
I have a pair and they were hand raised. They are still slightly scared of hands, but they're not scared of perching on your finger. They have never been in a cage. They are in a big metal playstand with a lot of perches, food and water bowls, and many toys. They don't have a problem with flying aro...
