it looks that the baby start his weaning stage, but he is young for this.
Try to give him 1 meal at the night, 2-3 hours after sleep,
normally in the middle of his sleep he accept the feeding.
Does the baby lives in a nest or something similar box or lives in a cage?

4 times in a day is ok at this time
your baby must be around 120 gr, is he?
you must give him around 12-13 ml per meal.
the 10-12% of his weight.

peanuts are ok but are rich in fat so you must give only few of them in a day.
Also be careful because it is very common the present of aflatoxins and aspergilus sp. in peanuts and these are very dangerous.
open and check all the peanuts and use only these are fine without any bad spots or signs

i have seen nest box that is a simple large log tree with a hole.
this is very durable because the walls of the nest are very thick.
to manufacture this, you need a tree log and a carpenter to make a hole and a cabin inside

one pair is better and safier
you can put together more pairs, but you need a large aviary and it is enough risky because females become scramble and may injury or even kill the others ,especially in the breeding season.

I agree that each pair is good to live alone, unless you have a big aviary. In that case you can put few pairs in. The problem is the females who become aggressive sometimes , mainly in the breeding season. With appropriate conditions irns are very good breeders. They can live in a outside aviary, i...

hi birdlady if you have a big aviary, i think at least 3*3m, you can put there the 2 pairs, but the golden rule is a pair alone in a cage, seperately from others. Otherwise there is the danger of injury and even kill. Mainly the females and especially at breeding season become very aggressive with o...
