I use 1 teaspoon of borax (levelish, not under however) and around 1/2 cup of honey. The sweet corn syrup also works. You will want to microwave the honey/syrup a little, not much, just enough to make it nice and liquid like. Then mix in the borax, let it cool. Now, since honey can get kinda thick a...

Really wire thickness isnt an issue for the most part. Since the wire isnt going to be something that the bird is going to be perching on (well shouldnt be). It should just be for climbing over and strong enough to not break through. That being said, anything 1mm to 2mm should be fine (though 2mm is...

All albino's have a sheen, infact all birds in general have a sheen of colour. This is actually the natural oils etc the bird uses for preening.
Hence why lutino's can sometimes have a green sheen, and albino's a blueish one... its just the oils reflecting colour through the feathers.

There has been a spate of thunderstorms around Australia, and you only need to combine the birds being spooked out of their nest for just a couple of hours on a really cold night to kill the eggs.
Could be a reason.

There are plenty of issues and talks about rings, really the search is your friend.
The lighter green / blue hue is not an indication of a ring, neither is a slightly grey tinge, its quite common across green birds (and other mutations have similar rings) even in hens.
