Gorgeous bird! My female has a slight ring so DNA is the best way until they reach the age of sexual maturity and then the male will have his ring.

Also, be careful with that wing clip. I have known some birds to get broken wings because they have that type of clip.

What cuties.... Pistachio my green chicken is so jealous she would love to have a man. But no no breeding for my sweet little girl.

Can't wait to see babies. Love the names by the way.... I am a subscriber to Angel Ministries (Anne Graham Lotts ministry, Billy and Ruth's daughter).

That is horrible, I am glad that your family was not harmed and good on Smokey for being a loud mouth! If anyone tried to break into my house they would be met with three dogs hot on their tails... let alone the racket that the birds would make and if they tried to take any of them, they would need ...

I have done DNA testing using the toe nail method. You will need to have some baking soda, flour or a product called Kwik stop close at hand. Don't clip so much off that you have an overly short nail. Just barely get the nail to bleed, it won't take much. Then put the baking soda/powder, flour or Kw...

I am not sure about IRN babies but I do know that the crop looks full and otherwise looks good. What are you concerned about not being normal? It is definitely a baby, but again I am not good with these birds as babies....

Thank you for the welcome. This little girl (what I am going to call her until I get her DNA'd) does do a behavior I am not familiar with. When my hubby wolf whistles or whistles in general at her she will crouch low, look at him wide eyed and then rub her beak on the perch she is sitting on. Now th...

Hello

Hello all, I just adopted a Normal Green IRN. I have not thought of a name that is fitting yet, but so far I have come up with Sesame and Cashew. I have 4 years experience with birds. I have been owned by a Budgie, several breeder peachfaced lovebirds and currently owned and proudly ruled by a femal...
