Thanks for the link - however, I didn't really find the answer to my question in that thread. All I found in there was 3 weeks. Is that 3 weeks until the hen will lay eggs after mating or 3 weeks until the eggs start hatching? I am looking for the answer to both of these questions if anyone knows it?

Question about eggs??
Hi All,
I am new to breeding ringnecks and have a question about the eggs - after mating about how long until the hen starts to lay eggs? And after the eggs are laid how long until they start to hatch? Thanks!

Names of colors?
I am not very advanced when it comes to names of mutations, but I am trying to learn. I have also noticed that some mutations has a few different names that people use. I am probably going to sound very stupid asking this, but what exactly is an ino - is that the same a lutino or something else? I k...

What color?
Hello all,
I think I may have found a female that I would like to purchase for my male. I was wondering if someone could help me determine what color babies this pair would produce.

Right now I can't get much bigger then that - I was wanting a stacker as it will take up less space and the side by side ones will take up to much space. I am currently living in an apartment and have limited space - however, I will be getting a house in a year or more and can then upgrade to larger...

New cage for pairs - good or bad?
I have 2 pairs of IRN's and I wanted to get a new stacker cage for them - I came across this cage here and thought it would work out well and be a new home for my pairs. What do you all think about this cage, will it be a good cage for them or should I go with something else? The measurements of eac...

I have a total of 5 birds in my home and all are different species one being an IRN - I also have asthma and all my birds are kept inside my home in rooms that are used the most. I have no problems with my asthma at all. Honestly, I much rather my birds to be inside instead of outside because I will...

Male dance question?? Help!
I have a 7 month old male (was DNAed) and I think he might be trying to do the male dance and then another part of me thinks it could be something else. Hmm - not really sure. Could someone please explain to me exactly what the male dance would look like? Also, he is 7 months old and has recently st...

Oh hmm - that is interesting! I have actually never noticed that before in other IRN. My female who I lost recently had NO indent or anything at all that looked like a ring. She was DNA tested and in fact a female - since she was female and nothing that looked like a possible ring on her I thought m...

New IRN with pics plus a question!!
I recently lost my very young female lutino ringneck and have been wanting to get another one. I just adore ringnecks and cannot live without them, I was just not ready for a new one as I was still missing my friend. I have recently been going through very bad ringneck withdrawl and took the plunge ...

More then 1 IRN?
I am considering getting another IRN - I have a female and would like to get her a male not for breeding purposes, but for companionship. How hard is it to pair up 2 IRN's? I have heard that it can be very hard and others said it is easy as long as it is just 2 IRN's. Here is my problems - I have 4 ...

Okay - here is another question. I have been fooling around with my IRN and my cages trying to find the one that she likes the best. There is one more that I didn't ask you guys about. This one is only 19 inches wide, but is 26 inches in depth - is 19 wide to small for an IRN? She seems happiest in ...

IRN change in behavior - Need help!
I don't post on this forum much, but need some help/advice about my IRN. My IRN's behavior has been changing and today took a very quick turn for the worse. My IRN is a lutino 6 month old female - over the past few months when out of her cage she won't stay still and will not let me catch her. She u...

Do you think that one will be tall enough though? The one she is currently in is huge and VERY tall. It is the split level double cage, there is a picture below and she is in the taller side my BHP is in the smaller side. I just measured it at 53-54 inches tall. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n2...

Cage Problem - Need advice
Hello - I have recently run into a problem with my IRN and her cage - she is in a double cage which is divided and on the other side is my African Brown Headed parrot. My IRN is growing up and starting to mature and even becoming a brat at times. Her and my parrot got along fine until recently where...

She does eat a whole lot more then my other birds and I wouldn't really call her a big eater or a pig either, however her weight at 142g is out of the range of average IRN's. She doesn't at all seem fat to me either - today my mother saw her which she hasn't seen her for about 2 weeks or so and said...

I just re-weighed her a couple of times on 2 different scales, a regular and digital. Both came out with 142g. I am pretty sure she is Indian and now Alex, at least that's what she looks like to me and I bought her as Indian. Though there could have been a mistake somewhere. Here are a few pictures ...

Question about weight??? Help!
Okay guys - I have a very serious question about Rigneck weight. I have been reading up on average weight for IRN's and my IRN seems to be way out of the range. I have a 5 month old female and I just now weighed her and she is 142g, is that way to much for her age? The thing is she doesn't at all lo...

I use Zupreem -- mostly fruit blend, some garden....is it garden goodness... the one with the peppers. The tiels and IRN like it, so I stopped checking brands while I was ahead. Of course they disagree about the banana shapes -- one cage of tiels won't eat those and the other won't eat the red ones...

I am interested to know what brand of pellets everyone is giving there IRN and what is the best out there and what to stay away from. Kaytee? Roudybush? Zupreem? Lafeber? Or something else? Also, what do your IRN's seems to like the best? Do your feed the natural or fruitblend?
