Well it was more if dog cat behaviors not birds. Nd school is more of medicines. We went over behavior briefly but not for birds. Ill just let her be. Maybe im just reading from to many sources on the internet that suggest different things. But once im done studying ill read those sites .

Yes we learned about reforcements. The thing is when u say let her climb she doesnt want to be near me at all and seems happy that way. I was trying to show her im not going to hurt her and when she does come out goodthings have for example she gets a treat. I will look into the sites and read some ...

So its been 4 weeks since I brought my IRN with me to PA. I wrote in my previous post about her coming here. Oh ok because i never wanted to take the food out. Birds need to eat throught out the day so i was wondering. And do u suggest training should only be max 15 mins? I saw this on one site but didnt see a time anywhere else

I asked my landlord when i moved in to bring in a bird but he was like no ... So i figured maybe i can talk to him and give it a try. He will probably say no again. But ill try again. Thank for the insite ! I want to try to bring her here so i can do work with her

i had the same cage for my IRN until she got her beak stuck 2x in between the bars and screamed her head off. it was right after her beak where she got it stuck and indented into her muscle.. well she had to goto the vet for a look... now shes in a sugar glider wiring cage what i was told it was... ...

this was us around last winter.. again i couldnt just get her up there.. she flew onto the floor after being scared and then stood on my finger but looking for her cage. (sorry for the bad pic)

so i mentioned the forum to my sisters a few times and they kind of brushed it off. i see people with friendly irn and i get so jealous i need advice on how to START. how to gain her trust. baby steps. im going to try reading through some forums. I have to find one simular to my issue .

I can ask my sisters to join later. I cant promise they will tho :/ tgey are both busy with school or work. And they take the birds out when they are home or before bed. Well im in veterinay technician school for 14 more months. My sisters let them out but its more of opening their cage and let them hang out. They let my other 2 birds go on their shoulders and hang out on the bed. but they wouldnt dare try with my irn because she runs and bites. and she wont even go...

I have a blue IRN which had a beautiful bright color blue when i bought her as a baby. within the year her color as really duled out. her flight feathers and some tail feathers still have that color but her body and else where is kind of diluted.
