But I if I had to put money on it, I would say boy from that first picture. The stance, the feet, the shoulder out look, the shape of the beak and cheek l...

how long does it take for the flight feathers to return to normal then, would you say that gizmo will get used to not being able to fly very quickly, weve not handled gizmo so with having the wings clipped would make it easier, but would he/she be agressive towards us as not being able to fly away.

Gizmo is still very unsure of us so he/she will only step up onto a stick, when we get gizmo on the stick and go towards the cage he/she just flyies away, takes several attemps but to no avail just wont go back in.

settling

All depends on the bird itself. Was he hand raised ? is he relatively tame ? Tame, take him out straight up, play with him and show him his surroundings. Untamed, give it a week to get use to the surroundings, then take things one step at a time. our baby has come straight from the avery away from ...

I suppose with our baby Gizmo (10 weeks) and also only being with us 3 days, will take time for him/her to make any sound, but ive heard nothing from our baby since he/she arrived,Gizmo is eating and drinking well and is exploring the cage,I expect when settled then we shall here something :D

The design of the cockatiel cages are not, I repeat NOT appropriate for IRN's as the bars that bend around the edges are far too easily moved apart with only just a little pressure of a bird trying to escape it, and the bars of your cage look so thin that movement would be even easier. The bars mov...
