yeh, free flying doesn't have to be dangerous. If you have a spare bedroom, close the door and let your IRN fly.

I'm going to have mine fly free in my bedroom around his cage, thats it.

When I first got Ajendra his feathers were clipped so badly, all of the primaries were clipped. He'd fall and bash into the floor. that's great.

Most packs are sealed but the actual zip lock is open inside the package. If its zipped closed someone has just done it themselves. The whole package should be sealed by machine.

They are fodder moths. They get into any type of bird foods and so stores must be careful how they store stock. I had these in my rat seed. Some stores will spray something on the bags of food to keep the moths away but don't buy it, you don't know if the spray can harm your birds. I have kept all m...

i think we can happily agree, Ringnecks are birds that must trust you. We have to work for their love, and we wouldn't wnat it any other way, would we? I often kiss my boy's beak and this "kiss" is really just him pushing my lip away from him, not exactly a loving gesture. But oh well. You...

Great that he seems to like being out of his cage. Things you definitely always want to enforce with "him" is to always get him to step up onto your hand (not arm, not anything else but your fingers!) when he comes out of the cage. He is not allowed to only come out when the cage door is o...

i5t is probably a phase he's going through. just reinforce the step up with some treats to get him used to your fingers again. sometimes our birds need a reminder, they get carried away with things and forget.

My IRN will not eat pellets or seeds AT ALL! Occasionally he will taste them but he fills up on veggies, fruit and a bean and wholegrain mix.

I seriously would not worry as if he is eating a balanced meal like us humans he doesn't need much pellets or seed.;)

Looks small from the birds on the cage. However we really do spoil our birds. Until researching what the US recommends for their small parrots, I thought a medium sized cage (70cm high and 40 cm square) was adequate for a handreared bird. We should look at cages as a house. You need the kitchen and ...
