Hi Ellie The torch should be fine to use, I use about the same strength to check my eggs. Give it until sunday, normally 8 days after the start of incubation you can start seeing some more difinitive changes. If it shows clear, like nothing inside then they will be infertile. They will start with sm...

HI there Give her until atleast 35 days. Depending on how she was incubating her eggs it may take a little longer to hatch out. I had a restless pair that took atleast a week and a bit longer to hatch out her eggs. Although, if you hear any peeping you may find the shell is too hard and the bub is b...

Hi Ellie This year my season has been very disrupted. I moved half of my pairs to the new house and I have a dog that thinks it's a game to run around their avairies and disturb them as much as he can. My 1 pair that I expected to nest early july only went down 2.5 weeks ago. Another pair I had seen...

Hi there
Your new bird looks to be a greygreen pallid with the pictures, however if there is a blue sheen in the tail then it is a green pallid.
Best of luck with your new baby

Hi
A 5 week old baby is not fully featherd as yet. The neck, above the crop and some stomach areas are the last to sort of fill in. If your baby is genuinely 5 weeks old, I wouldn't worry too much.

Hi, if it looks like the crop is going to burst, do not feed it any more. Stretching the crop can lead to crop infections. Keep to what you are doing, it is good that the crop empties between feeds. As it gets older, you can drop to 3 feeds and increase quantities.

How old is Mango?
If Mango is still a baby 7-11 weeks it could be just a standard baby head bobbing however if Mango is an older bird it may be something more serious.

Hi
If your little guy is starting to actually fly(not just flap to stretch wings) your baby is probably closer to 6 and a half-7 weeks old. Did you get a hatch date from the breeder/pet store you got him/her from?

Hi Cormacity You can start placing your baby in a cage between 5-6 weeks, make sure there is a baby blanket or material for him to hide under as they are a little shy still at that age. Also make sure he/she is not in a drafty area as it could potentially give your baby a cold. Start putting grated ...

The green sheen may also be because the pics were taken with a flash on. On blue birds I have noticed this happens.
