Nice magpies. Feel free to take the thousands away from here. By the way, you missed out on the albino - he's gone to another home. We babysat him last night, he's a very friendly and cuddly ringneck.

Sunni is very active at the moment. Moreso than normal.

Ptis chick try looking up Grapefruit Seed Extract on the net and buying some GSE from a health food shop. It has very beneficial uses for birds and heaps of uses around the home. It is pretty expensive though. We paid $22AUD for a 9oz bottle.

Pits you'll find that vetafarm is often repackaged in pet stores and sold as generic "hand rearing mix" or "pellet mix". I can think of at least 2 pet stores in Geelong that have that. My wife bought the pellets so I'm not sure what sort they are, I'll find out.

We got a 5kg bag of pellets for less than $10. As such, we're only about 3/4 through it and we've had it for a year. Sunni gets 40%seed, 30% pellets and 30% other (other includes fruit, veggies, salsa, occasionally sunflower seeds, etc). Sunni hasn't tried chips, tried a dorito once which she liked.

Most likely your other birds will end up dead if you house them together. Epsecially the budgie. Budgies drive IRNs mad. My budgie will jump on my IRN's back if he gets the chance, but he's far too quick for the IRN out of the cage. Separate cages are the go. You can get a reasonable cage for $100 o...
