My Darwin is 3 months & 1 week now. He's so smart! We've just been working on new tricks. He can step-up, "dance" by nodding his head really fast, "wave" by picking up his foot & waving it, & turn around on command! I swear my birds a genius, but I guess every birdy m...

Hand Feeding help please!!!
My baby IRN is about 5 weeks old. He used to eat 12+ CCs at each feeding at 6AM, 1PM, 6PM, and 10PM. Now, he's not wanting to eat as much. He's also still kind of shy, and doesn't really come to me and get excited about eating like my other chick that's about 4 or 5 days younger. Any tips???

Ways to play with IRN chick ... ?
Hello! I recently got my first IRN chick. I have had adults before, but never one this young. I've been hand feeding him & he's doing great. I just want to know if there's ways I should be playing with him to make sure he ends up tame. He likes me alight when it's feeding time, but any other tim...

Many IRN parents both care for the eggs as a team. It's normal for him to be in there, she shouldn't turn on him.

Re: bird shows
You'll probably find cool mutations. Usually you can get healthy birds there because they are from good breeders, they just generally won't be as tame because chances are they're breeding lots of birds if they are participating in the show.

Do breeding/parent IRNs need a special diet?
I recently got my first breeding pair of IRNs. They have been working in the box, and breeding I believe because she has a spot on her neck missing feathers from his beak. My question is, do I need to feed them a special diet while they are breeding? When they have eggs/chicks? I currently feed them...

I will soon be getting my first pair of IRN breeders. I have a few choices, and would love opinions on which I should get.
They are: Turq/Green, White/Turq, Green/Blue, Green/Green.
What are the offspring options?

I had a 1 year old that I couldn't ever tame :[ . But I did find a local breeder who was willing to trade her for 2 babies that I will hand feed myself, so they will be very tame. I have heard success stories about taming them, I just wasn't one of them.

My first ringneck was a cobalt blue lacewing :] She was an escape artist, and we always had to look for her when we'd get home. Her wings were clipped, so she walked all around the house. She had a white head and white tail, basically, but blue body.

Best thing would be to separate them. Siblings (of any animal, really) breeding is not recommended because genetic flaws will be bred double, because both will carry the same flaws. They'll breed their siblings, mom, dad, it does not matter.
