Yogurt
Yogurt is ok in small amounts for birds so long as it it plain yogurt...In fact a brand named Activia B.L cultured yogurt is the best ...Yogurt is not like normal dairy..Once milk has been converted to other foods, such as cheese or yogurt, birds may be able to tolerate it. The bacteria in milk chan...

YIPPIE!! Luna Talks and more
Yep..My little Luna Boy sure does talk now that he has decided that this is a good place to live...He will say Hello, and Peekaboo, I see you! The great part is that he even plays the game of Peekaboo...He will hide behind his large shedder or turn his head to the back. Then he whips it around and s...

Thanks ALL for you
Well, I put baby's cage in front of the large window yesterday and for most of the day she was quiet! So I guess she needs more distractions..She has a ton of toys, but being a rescue I don't think she has ever really learn to play with them...Just recently she has started to pull on them...She is a...

Yep, I agree! Lovies are tiny BIG parrots. When I have my 2 out, they try to fly to the ringnecks cage...not afraid of ANYTHING. Not even the dog!! They give him the business from their cage...Toys, yep, lots of toys! and more toys! My two lovies to run around on the floor too! I put a small play gy...

Shredder Toys
Try chinese finger traps. You remenber them from being a kid. They are hollow tubes made from raffia or straw and you used to put your finger in each end and when you pulled back you couldn't get them out...The trick was to push one finger in and then pull out...Well, I push peanuts or nutraberries ...

Cleaning cages
I have used a steam cleaner and they work great...However, I use vinegar and water 50/50...Vinegar is a great cleaner just about as good as Poop Off..It is totally natural 100% You don't need to rinse. In fact, I and several cockatiel breeders use couple drops (couple days a month) in water dishes f...
