Lories are little feathery balls of pure energy. Sometimes they get on with other birds but the can be nippy and aggressive to other birds as well. so with an irn I would be extremely careful as irn can also be aggressive towards other birds. Lories CANNOT eat seed or anything like it they are stric...

Anyone know anything about Alexandrian ring necks. I was at the local bird store and one of the Alexandrian rings necks fell in love with me. Not sure of its sex but I think it might be female. She was cooing at me and holding a foot out to e picked up the second she saw me. She was so cute and snug...

George (irn) has bonded with my two tiels Mack and Doots. They share a flight cage, George and Doots sleep next to each other. The wing flapping is just something parrots do. Some people say they are exercising others say its just a way of playing and stretching. From what I have read and been told parrots are lactose intolerant to some degree. Foods that can spoil fast like milk and mayo should not be fed as the bird will not digest it right away it sits in there crop and goes bad. I know cheese and things like that can be offered in small amounts. I have k...

Jut my opinion. Three weeks is not a long time to get a bird who is not used to and has trust issues with humans to come around. These things take time and patients. I am not expert at these things but have you tried stick training first and that can take 4- 6 weeks by itself. You have the ability t...

Actually irn’s are notorious for not liking to be in close proximity to other birds. the wanting to kill your tiel is a typical irn response. These birds will go as far as killing other birds if caged and the other could not get away. Also irn’s are prone to not liking other irn’s. These are not the...
