Have had my IRN for 8months now, bought it from an aviary.... Still scared, every time I even come near the cage, starts flying away and clinging onto cage, as far away as possible. Same happens when I put food in, clean the tray/cage. Won't come near my hand, let alone take food from my hands. Food...

I have the same problem with my IRN. Was told that he's 6- 7 months old.
If I go near cage, he goes around like a monkey and as faraway as possible.

Won't take food from my finger through cage bar.
Doesn't talk one bit yet, not even whistle or anything.

Love to give him a kiss, if he let me anywhere near.
Hopefully in the future, once he's tamed a bit more.

I got a bit scared the first couple of days. Wondering what's he doing.
But I guess as it's a regular thing daily, it must be normal.
I'm assuming he likes to watch the TV alot.
