If a Blue cock is bred with a Violet hen, will their blue babies just be blue or will they have anything special towards them?

| Just plain Blue. It's not possible for them to be split to Violet. Birds can't be split to a dominant mutation such as Violet. |

Depends if the Viuolet Hen is SF or DF
Blue Cock x SF Violet Blue Hen
=Blue Cocks and Hens
=SF Violet Blue Cocks and Hens
Blue Cock x DF Violet Blue Hen
=SF Violet Blue Cocks and Hens |

Thanks, |
Jeremy is right that if any of the parents is a DF Violet and mated to a plain Blue, then all offsprings are Violet Blues (visual Violets).
But since your question involves a Blue Cock bred to a Violet Hen, then all visual Blue babies will not have any Violet in them, be it Double-Factor, Single-Factor or Split.
And if you have any visual Blue babies, it also guarantees that the Violet hen is Single-Factor (AKA Violet Blue). |
