hello, i just checked my nestbox and saw a dead chick but i herd another 1.
So do i have to go in the nestbox and take the dead chick out, the mum never comes out so if i had to get her out, the only wat would be to physically lift her out |

You will have to take the dead chick out immediately.
You can wait for the Hen to come out and eat, tap on the box, or physically move her. Just try not to put too much stress on her. |

Sorry about the little baby, it's sad but hopefully the other one will survive and mom and dad will learn what they need to know to raise a brood. _________________ Sue

Glad to know that you have one living chick. Hope all goes well and it grows up strong and healthy. _________________ Sue
